PRE PRODUCTION

Pre Production ensures your vision is clearly defined and all necessary resources are in place before filming begins.

Concept Development

From an idea written on a napkin to a concept fully realized, we invite inspired collaboration to help bring your vision into focus, no matter what stage of concept development you're in.

Crafting the BluePrint

Your concept is now ready to convert into a format that will serve as a blueprint for production. Some examples include: commercial scripts, storyboards, shot lists, and AV scripts.

Planning & Logistics

Logistics are typically handled in collaboration with a producer. This might include scout location, hiring the crew, scheduling, and other preparations necessary to ensure a smooth, safe and efficient production.

Pre Production Briefing

This meeting brings together key personnel responsible for successfully executing the upcoming production. Here, we confirm all pertinent information, including scripts, storyboards and logistics, giving the all clear for the production day(s) ahead.

POST PRODUCTION

Post Production is the final step in the production pipeline that aims to refine and finalize the raw footage into a polished and cohesive piece.

TRANSFERING FOOTAGE

First, we transfer the footage to a hard drive/s with both the capacity and speed necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient post production process.

LOGGING

Logging is the process of organizing and selecting the best takes from the source footage.

EDITING

From First Assembly to the Final Cut, the story reveals itself in the editing process as selected media is arranged to serve the script or overall vision of the piece.

COLOR CORRECTION

A critical point of the post production process that ensures all color and light within the frame accurately reflect the nature and style of the director's vision.

SOUND MIXING

Whether it be music, voice over or natural sound captured on shoot day, this invaluable step fuses together all audio assets with industry standard balance and precision.

VISUAL EFFECTS

Title sequences, graphic animation, and lower thirds are just a few examples of visual effects that may be necessary to fully execute the final vision.

FINALIZING

The final version is carefully inspected as we verify each detail has been mastered and serves its intended purpose. Upon approval, the final cut is exported into the codec/s (format) necessary for intended distribution.

PRODUCTION

From setting up lights to recording audio, your vision is captured on production day.

EQUIPMENT SETUP

It takes qualified personnel paired with technical precision to ensure all is safe and prepared before calling action. Equipment setup is an art within itself. Kadima's crew has the industry experience and expertise necessary to prepare for a successful shoot day.

PRODUCING

The producer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production on shoot day, making certain the vision of the production is executed while managing logistics, schedules, and any necessary problem-solving.

DIRECTING

The director drives the vision forward by ensuring a conducive environment for creativity. They provide clear direction while still empowering artists to make discoveries and tap into instincts that fully realize the vision's potential.

CINEMATOGRAPHY

Deriving from ancient Greek, “cinematography” translates to "moving with pictures". The Director of Photography directs the camera and lighting departments to create the visual language of the story. They ensure the overall look is consistent with the director's vision and driven by the narrative itself.

LIGHTING DESIGN

A painter uses paint, a cinematographer uses light and shadow. The lighting designer, or "Gaffer", works directly with the Director of Photography to create the appropriate color, intensity, and quality of light allowing the cinematographer to freely navigate the canvas.

AUDIO

One of the most important aspects of a production is capturing quality audio. The sound operator employs a variety of audio equipment to capture high-quality audio in a variety of environments.

ART DIRECTION

The Art Director helps determine the overall aesthetic of the production through set design to its decoration. They oversee artists on set to make sure the overall look is in line with the director's vision.

HAIR & MAKEUP

Whether styling major looks or managing stubborn fly aways and excess skin shine,  hair and makeup artists play a vital role in maintaining the production's overall look.
